We were proud to be a part of a large restoration project, carrying out the interior restoration work on the 1913 Alpine Trial car No. 2 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost on behalf of private collector, James Black in Belfast, one of the most iconic and historically significant motor cars of its era. Our work focused on preserving the authenticity and craftsmanship of this vehicle while carefully restoring the cabin to the original period heritage style.

The car underwent an exceptional ground-up restoration in Belfast after being rediscovered in an incomplete state, surviving primarily as a recovered chassis. Through extensive historical research, artisanship and meticulous attention to detail, the vehicle was comprehensively restored to accurately reflect its original 1913 Alpine Trial specification.

The interior restoration of Mr. Royce's personal motor car used for development was commissioned to us from Belfast, using only traditional materials and style as original period.

The car underwent a full interior development, with new seat frames, hand coiled springs, horse hair filling and Connolly leather.

The door pockets were handmade, using marine ply and Connolly leather embossed Rolls-Royce logos. We used quality Wilton Carpet and bound edging in the same Connolly leather.

This Rolls Royce was previously owned by Chariots of Fire Composer, Vangelis, and also owned by Kenny Jones, the drummer from the Band, The Who.

We received the car in need of new headlining, padding and an outer Everflex vinyl hood.
